First Canadian Water & Infrastructure Inc (FCWI) leverages the strengths of one of Canada's foremost Aboriginal-owned corporations, Tribal Councils Investment Group of Manitoba Ltd. (owned by Manitoba's seven Tribal Councils, comprising 55 First Nations and over 100,000 First Nations people) with CH2M HILL, one the world's top-ranked full service engineering construction and operation firms with over 24,000 employees worldwide and over $5 billion in revenues.

FCWI has just completed its first full year of operation and has been extremely productive. Looking to add value beyond consulting and engineering, FCWI has made a difference in the lives of First Nation peoples. Upon receiving an emergency call from Pikangikum First Nation when their school with an enrollment of over 700 children burnt down at the end of June; FCWI mobilized resources to fast-track this project on a design/build model to build the school in time for fall. FCWI's unique structure ensured that the full capacity to oversee all aspects from design, engineering, construction and project management were bundled together to ensure continuity, economies of scale, community engagement and efficiency.

FCWI was created to build expertise for First Nation capacity and bring economies of scale to our community level. We look forward to many more partnership opportunities that allow our communities to gain the expertise needed to grow our First Nations. We thank our existing clients and look forward to working collaboratively to find solutions to grow capacity.
