First Canadian Infrastructure Inc (FCI) leverages the strengths of one of Canada's foremost Aboriginal-owned corporations, Tribal Councils Investment Group of Manitoba Ltd. (owned by Manitoba's seven Tribal Councils, comprising 55 First Nations and over 100,000 First Nations people) with CH2M HILL, one the world's top-ranked full service engineering construction and operation firms with over 30,000 employees worldwide and over $6 billion in revenues. FCI has completed several projects, adding value beyond consulting and engineering, and making a difference in the lives of First Nation peoples. Our projects include design/build projects like the emergency replacement of the Pikangikum First Nation school, and the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex and Sports Park for the Ochapawace First Nation. We have also worked to assess water supply and water quality issues for the Carrier Sekani Tribal Council under the British Columbia Safe Water Operating Program, assessing water systems, addressing system performance issues, and training First Nations operators. Our work also includes infrastructure and needs assessments for Manitoba’s First Nations. FCI was created to develop expertise and economic opportunities to build First Nations capacity, and bring technical leadership and economies of scale to our community level. We look forward to many more partnership opportunities that allow our communities to gain the expertise needed to grow our First Nations. We thank our existing clients and look forward to working collaboratively to find solutions to grow capacity. For more information regarding First Canadian Infrastructure Inc., contact:
