In 2004, Tribal Councils Investment Group of Manitoba Ltd. Obtained an equity position in the Exchange Income Corporation (EIC). EIC, a Canadian corporation, was created to invest in profitable, well-established companies with strong cash flows operating in niche markets in Canada and/or the United States and to distribute stable monthly cash dividends to shareholders.
To do this, it invests in companies for the long term with no intention of selling retains current management and works with them to grow their companies.
The company currently owns subsidiaries in two niche business segments.
AVIATION
Providing scheduled airlines service and emergency medical services to certain First Nation communities location in northern Manitoba, North West Ontario and Nunavut, operated by Perimeter Aviation, Keewatin Air, Calm Air and Bearskin Airlines.
SPECIALITY MANUFACTURING
- Manufacturing custom tanks for the transportation of oil, gas, water and sewage oper-ated by Jasper Tank;
- Manufacturing precision sheet metal and tubular products, operated by Overlanders Manufacturing;
- Manufacturing specialized heavy duty pressure washing and steam systems, operated by the Water Blast group of companies, which is also the exclusive distributor in Alberta and British Columbia for Hotsy pressure cleaning equipment.
- Custom design and manufacturer of stainless steel tanks, vessels and processing equipment, operated by Stainless Fabrication, Inc., which are sold throughout the United States; and
- Manufacturing and service provider WesTower Communications Inc., which operates throughout Canada and the United States in the wireless communication industry, mainly in the design, erection, reinforcing, maintenance and servicing of towers and equipment.
