TCIG's experience in health care has provided a greater understanding of the importance of the role of pharmacies in health and wellness. This knowledge led us to make a significant investment in Paragon Pharmacies Limited (Paragon).

Paragon is a publicly traded company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol “PGN”. Based in Western Canada, the company currently owns and operates 18.5 retail pharmacies, 3 central fill pharmacies and 2 home health care stores, all dedicated to excellent customer service within a community focused environment.

The Paragon family of stores includes 9 Paragon Community Pharmacy locations in BC and Manitoba, 9 Super Drug Mart stores plus a 50% ownership of a tenth store in Calgary and surrounding areas, 3 central fill pharmacies in BC and Manitoba, and 2 Canadian Medical Supplies Home Health Care stores in BC. Paragon is headquartered in Kelowna, BC with a regional office in Calgary, AB and presently employs over 500 full and part time staff in its stores and offices.

In 2006, Paragon was ranked 42nd in the seventh annual PROFIT HOT 50 ranking. The list, published in the September issue of PROFIT magazine, ranks young Canadian firms by two-year revenue growth. For the 12 month comparative periods ending in February, Paragon's sales increased 161% from 2004 to 2006. This growth rate does not include the Super Drug Mart acquisition which was completed in April of 2006. Of the 50 companies ranked by PROFIT HOT 50, Paragon's revenue figure was more than double the next highest on the list.

Paragon plans to continue to add to its portfolio of retail stores in 2008.
